“The only path that can carry me home is the path of self-compassion.”
- Tara Brach
As a certified IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapist, I guide clients to better understand themselves and the behaviors, thoughts, feelings, and patterns that are causing pain, keeping them stuck, or creating issues in their lives and relationships. Bringing a curious and compassionate presence to the therapy work, my role is to support my clients to connect with their inner wisdom and innate healing capacity. Through this gentle and respectful process, clients begin to develop more awareness and compassion for themselves and their story, leading to more internal balance, a healthier sense of connectedness to themselves and others, and the possibility for a more meaningful and joyful life.

Before entering private practice, I provided treatment in a range of settings, from crisis intervention to long-term treatment for clients in all stages of life and from diverse backgrounds. During my graduate school placements at Sunset Mental Health Clinic in San Francisco and Mann Residential Treatment Center at Sheppard Pratt in Baltimore, I gained experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of mental health concerns, including Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma. I then worked at a local independent school serving children with Autism and Learning Disabilities, providing individual and group therapy while collaborating with a team of educators and parents to meet the social-emotional needs of students aged 6-18.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I am a volunteer with AFSP, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and I run a free monthly support group for adults who have lost a loved one to suicide. I am also the author of the children’s book, Heart of Gold, which draws on the healing messages of IFS and Buddhist Meditation about the essential goodness in all of us.
